Food project Brain Storm

Batchoy is soup with beef, noodles, green onions, a special broth, fried garlic, and chicharon. A memory i had of eating this food was when it's was a chllin cold morning on Christmas day. My mom prepared this food for us so we can eat after a 12:00 mass, which is traditional for my family. Some sensory details I can use to describe would be describing how the food smells when the person is preparing it, or describe how their preparing it like "I can smell the garlic being saute' in a pan, and can hear the oil sizzing over the heat". Another would be how you feel about what's happening. My Mom is the person i'll be interviewing for this project. My Mom lives in Bacolod which is in the Visayas area where the soup is common.

  1. I like how you described the food. It was very descriptive, giving the reader an idea of the batchoy's flavor and even its look. Although, you should give more information on some of your sensory details. You can do this by giving an example sentence of what you thought would be a good sensory detail. I also liked how you told a little about your mom and how this food is connected to her.
